Thor sounds so hurt, no matter how happy he is that his brother is alive. Everything is swimming in his head. The drugs, probably. The wine of welcome, the cup of forgiveness, had been poisoned. Thor's blinking is languid. His tongue feels thick in his mouth. He hadn't known why Odin called for him to return to exile at first. And now-- Now he hates himself for being so eager for his father's and his king's forgiveness.
The Thunderer drops to one knee and almost falls forward on his face. His hand barely manages to catch him. He braces himself on the marble floor.
